Rain Harvesting First Flush Diverter for In Ground Systems
The Rain Harvesting In-Ground First Flush water diverter improves rainwater quality and safety, helps extend the life of pumps (used for irrigation and other domestic purposes), and also internal appliances that draw upon rainwater (such as laundry, toilets, and dishwashers) and reduces tank maintenance. Requires 4" pipe for chamber. 3" or 4" inlet.
- Isolates up to 80 gallons of the first flush of contaminant-laden water from your roof, by keeping organic and inorganic fine particles out of the rainwater you harvest.Isolates the first flush of contaminant-laden water from your roof, by keeping organic and inorganic fine particles out of the rainwater you harvest.
- By allowing you to determine the frequency and duration of first flush, the Advanced Release Valve ensures that the Deltaβs first flush diversion is optimized. The transparent, rapid release exit funnel reduces build up and blockages while allowing for easy visual inspection.
- In addition to acting as a first flush diverter, this diverter also allows a "wet" system to be converted into a "dry" system. Firstly, due to the size of the buildings or the placement of the tank being away from the buildings, meaning that there are long runs of pipe underground leading to a riser at the tank. Secondly, to reduce the water from freezing, it is diverted below the freezing level of the ground in cold climates.
- On a sloping site, this diverter ensures the water empties out The result - a "dry" system that saves water and improves water quality.
- Requires 2 new 1.5 volt AAA batteries and six sections of 4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe which can be purchased online or at a local plumbing supply.
